CULTURE GROUP HOPES TO ATTRACT A CROWD FOR IT'S LIBRARY PROGRAM

Special to The Herald

The word vulture usually conjures up images of scary scavangers. But if you think artistically - as a group of Pembroke Pines artisits and art educators do - vultures are graceful, powerful creatures driven boldly toward their desire by insatiable appetites.

The Culture Vultures, led by Connie DiFalco, founder of New York City's Studio 12 artist cooperative, will descend at 2 p.m. today on the Southwest Regional Library at 16835 Sheridan St. in Pembroke Pines. They plan to deliver a feast or art and culture and a menu of thought provoking topics to residents of Southwest Broward.

" The Southwest Regional Library serves a broad area - Cooper City, Weston, Pembroke Pines and other cities," DiFalco said. "We invite everyone to join us -to become Culture Vultures - and to feed us by telling us what they want to see."
